Crepes

We are learning to use the stove top, and make a batter to spread thinly and evenly in a frying pan to prepare for making our own brunch.

Crepes have only a few simple ingredients - Breaking the egg...

Adding flour...

And milk...

A little salt...

Whisk together...

...until there are no lumps...

The hard part was pouring in the batter and turning the pan at the same time to spread it evenly.

Then we cooked it till it was dry on top...

And lacy on the bottom,

Using a fish slice to flip

And produce yummy crepes ready for some maple syrup.

Measuring out flour ....

And baking powder...

Salt ...

And mix...add water and...

Mix, then knead and into the oven.

After 20 minutes...out of the oven

The finished product looked like this...

And this....

Then we made our own butter...By adding a little salt to some cream...

And shaking the jar of cream until it separated into butter and buttermilk...

And we had our very own fresh butter to spread on our bread buns.
